Suggest Remedy For Copd

My father is 60 yrs old and suffering with copd, as per Amruth insistute of medical science (Kochi Kerala)docotor his lungs is only functing 40%.right now he is using some inhalers advised by doctor,but this is not giving proper relief. I would like get better treatment. can you please advise

Thank you for your question on HCM. COPD is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Treatment is not only inhalers. Follow these steps.
1. Avoid smoking if he is smoker.
2. Enroll him in pulmonary rehabilitation programmes where good chest physiotherapy service is available.
3. Adult immunization with H.infuenza and pneumococcal vaccines.
4. Meter dose inhalers with spacer is required. Three types of medications needed. Long acting beta two agonists like formoterol, salmeterol with corticosteroids like budesonide, fluticasone etc and long acting anticholinergic like tiotropium.
Regular follow up is needed with PFT.
