I ve been completely constipated for 2 weeks now and it feels like something is blocking everything from coming out. During these weeks I have changed my diet to more fruits, fiber and have been taking Meralax on a regular basis to help improve my digestion and bowel flow. In the beginning I started with a couple laxatives followed up with prune juice, castrol oil, and have even been taking take home enemas on two separate occasions with absolutely no results. So far nothing has moved at all and now I have developed multiple internal hemorrhoids from straining. Also my gas, abdominal and testicular pain are all increasing by the day. Please help! What could this be and what should I do?

I am a male, 27 years, vegetarian. I was having constipation 2 days ago and saw blood in my stool. This because of a wound near the anus. I started taking Isabgol (phyllum husk). It still is hurting but not to that great extent. There still seems to be some constriction. What medication should I take?
Hi, My Mother started suffering from constipation after a dialysis session. she had blood in her stool today when she went to toilet after taking the motion tonic..she did not had constipation or blood in stool earlier...does dialysis cause this side effect?
Wife is 65 years old and suffers from extreme constipation. She receives excellent medical care, UNC & Duke graduates, but neither her primary physician or her plethora of specialists seem to be able to offer practical suggestions.
Situation resulted from surgery in 2001 four “flat back” syndrome secondary to scoliosis. Nerve damage occurred during surgery with many negative outcomes, such as, chronic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, some paralysis in right leg.
She manages well, in spite of, these difficulties and prior to surgery was high functioning in very responsible position.
She takes heavy narcotics for pain which, of course, contributes to her problem. Also, she takes Miralax and copious fluids.
Bowel movements are unpredictable and can take hours to complete. This part of her disability severely constricts her quality of life.
Are there any suggestions, short of a colostomy, which might alleviate her symptoms of constipation, as well as, relieving the constipation itself.
I understand this is a complicated medical situation, but I am interested only in the bowel management issues.
Any suggestions? Any recommendations? Any solutions?
Thanks very much for your time and attention to this problem.
