Hi, My husband has been suffering from Colitis for 2 years. He has been on Asacol since diagnosed Feb. 14th 2012. He had symptoms months before his colonosopy. I have him on a gluten and dairy free diet again because his bleeding came back. He has been on Prednisone for short periods. He is now taking food enzymes, probiotic, l glutamine, aloe, and we are juicing (no pulp). Rice, carrots and chicken broth. He now having forms stools but the tiny amt of blood with mucous when wiping.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I could say that if this is colitis then this need to be treated according to the investigative reports that include the test report of stool culture sensitivity test, if there is no infection then no need to give any anti biotic and condition can be treated conservatively and the regime for this is vary from patient to patient depends upon the clinical condition, have a nice day.
