Suggest Remedy For Clogged Ear

My ear was clogged so I flushed it out using a plastic nose syringe. There was a little pain, but nothing too bad and the ear was unclogged. I then plugged my nose and blew which caused a lot of pain. It still really hurts after at least 2 hours. I am 18 years old, 5 8 and 145 pounds, female. What did I do to my ear and how can I make it stop hurting? I can t sleep or really even think because of the pain, I would rank it a 7/10.

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern. You could have hurt your eustachian tube which connects ear with back of your nose.
1) Avoid blowing your nose hard.
2) decongestant tablet levocetrizine with phenylephrine.
3) For pain relief tablet paracetamol with aceclofinac.
4) There could be injury to tympanic membrane, consult your doctor and get it checked.
You will be fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions , I am happy to help.

Wish you a good health.

Regards,
Dr Paparaja S MBBS MS
