Suggest Remedy For Chronic Muscle And Joint Pain After Taking Azathioprine
I have neuropathy I my upper right leg. I also have had a frozen shoulder for four years which physical therapy has not resolved. I have fibromyalgia. I also had a stroke in March 2016 where the doctor put me on azothioprine to treat the vasculitis in my brain but it causes a lot of muscle and joint pain. Two weeks ago I had adhesions removed and my cervix along with my bowl being unkinked. So I have chronic pain. Jamie hester

Your symptoms seem to be related to side effects of Azathioprine. I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication for the pain such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day.
I also recommend using heat compresses. If the symptoms continue you should consult your doctor about an alternative treatment.
