Suggest Remedy For Choky Feeling On Esophagus

Hi, I ve been getting a chokey feeling on the right side of my esophagus for years. It d happen just a few times a year, now its a few times a week! It feels like a patch that is crackingly dry but when I drink water or an oilier substance to coat it, it does no good. It makes me choke so bad I can t talk and tears run down.... I have tried an inhaler but it doesn t do anything. I am having a hard time as I consult with patients all day! any ideas? Debra

Thanks for your query,

choking and regurgitation of food, indicates some form of impairement of swallowing mechanism, it could be vocal card palsy or some growth or some abnormality related to esophageal lumen.


You need to evaluate with laryngoscopy and barium studies depanding on the findings form an ent surgeon.
