Suggest Remedy For Chest Pain While Swallowing Sweet Foods

35 year old female. Not overweight. No major health problems. History of GERD. Dr. Did scope 2.5 years ago. No ulcers or Barrett s. Said esophagus looked very good. Symptoms flared 3 months ago cause tried to quit meds. Dr. Didn t want to scope again. Tried prilosec. Switched to nexium and then increased nexium to 40 mg. started to feel better but one week ago I started getting chest pains on the right side when burping or swallowing. The pains seem to be in my breast. They are not in my esophagus. Sometimes they are over by my arm. They were with all swallowing but now it s only with very sweet foods like candy or fruit or even when chewing gum.

Hi, I think as you have rightly said at the end, you have to find out what all foods affect you and avoid these. Especially avoid tea, coffee, colas, and chocolates. Eat small frequent meals, continue Nexium for some time and exercise regularly--regards
