Suggest Remedy For Chest Pain And Difficulty Swallowing Food
a ct forchest pain showed esophageal thickening. i have had very difficult swallowing of starchy foods for several years. hiatal hernia and gerd havebeen diagnosed but no longer bother me. what will i need to have done? can this be treated? do most people with this never develop cancer of esophagus?
Such problems can appear due to chronic inflammation or even a cancer. If you smoke, cancer should be ruled out at first. To do that, endoscopy with biopsy should be done. If cancer is ruled out, esophagus widening or stent should be considered. This is the way it can be successfully treated. Cancer can be developed due to chronic inflammation caused by GERD (Barrets esophagus) or smoking. Otherwise, cancer is hardly possible.
Hope this will help. Regards.
