Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have hot burning feeling in my thigh , sometimes at night it s so bad it wakes me I have to put a cold facecloth on it if I use the muscle in that leg it will get so bad that I can barely walk that pain will last about 20 minutes , but the burning feeling is always there , sometimes just more intense it s unbearable
The symptoms seem to be related to a peripheral neuropathy. Damage to the peripheral nerves can cause a leg burning sensation. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest to check the glycemic level to exclude a diabetes.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
