Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a small flesh colored bump on my lower lip. It's painless and doesn't look like herpes, canker sore, cold sore, or zit. But it allllmost looks like there could be a white head in there, almost as if you could pop it and a hard white thing would come out. But you can't pop it. It's very small.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a small bump over the lower lip that does not look like a cold sore or a canker sore can be due to bacterial infection or can be due to raised sebaceous glands known as Fordyce's spots.. If it is due to bacterial infection application of anti-bacterial ointment over it will resolve the bump.. In case of fordyce's spots they do not regress in size on its own as well as they are not harmful so if they do not cause cosmetic problems they do not require treatment but if you want to get it removed it can be done by laser treatment.. So better consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated so that treatment can be planned according to the diagnosis..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
