Suggest Remedy For Bumps On Ear

I have a bump behind my ear(right on the ear) I noticed it to be painful this morning so my husband held a hot cloth on there and then squeezed it, I heard 3 popping sounds and he said some whit stuff came out and then just clear fluid and a little bit of blood. There was some pressure relief for a good 6 -7 hours. But it s now more painful than before and I can t even lay on it, I thought it was just a pimple but now I m not sure..

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi

Welcome in HCM.

I understand your concern and here I would like to tell you that possibly you may be having any one of these-

1- Sebaceous cyst.

2- Post aural lymphadenitis.

Please never try to squeeze the lump as it may increase the inflammatory pathology. Post aural lymphadenitis is very common in candidates with dandruff on scalp.

You may take now-

1- Antibiotic (preferably broad spectrum).

2- Anti inflammatory.

3- Local application of antiseptic cream over tear in lump.

I hope above will help you otherwise you have to consult your doctor for checkup and treatment.

Thanks for consulting HCM.
