Suggest Remedy For Bouts Of Extreme Coughing

I can t stop coughing. It s starting to hurt very bad in my chest clear to my back by just trying to breathe in deep, thus sending me into extremely terrifying panic attacks. I ve been to the doctor.. They didnt give me a diognosis but wrote me some cough syrup that has codeine in it, and wrote backtrim. I ve taken all my antibiotics and ale my cough medicine when needed, but nothing is helping . I feel like it getting worse. Also, I ve done someone horrible to wrist someone (sleepwalking) which only makes people look at you like your crazy. They x-rayed it and they said everything looks fine, but i have to big the differ. I can feel my bones creaking when I move my wrist, and I wright. I have test, clinicals, & skills test in less than a week please help

Persistent cough is most commonly related to post nasal drip.

Some persons may not be aware of the drip. Treatment would involve the consistent use of topical steroid nasal sprays and anti histamines.

Other causes of persistent cough are reflux and asthma.
Some persons may have more than one.

If the x ray did not show any problems then the symptoms may be related to injury to the soft tissues (muscles, tendons and ligaments)
Rest and the use of anti inflammatory pain meds would help eg naproxen, ibuprofen
