Hello! I recently began having bood streaks on my stool about a month ago. Within the last week and a half, I have developed a stinging and burning sensation during and after stool displacement. The blood on stool has been every other displacement during the past two weeks. The color of the blood is (very) bright red, signaling that it is most likely bleeding at the sphincter. Tonight, I noticed a small sack (a tiny round ball) that protudes from my sphincter by a short piece of skin, when I bent over and strained for mirror examination. This seems to be the cause of my discomfort.Between these symptoms, my likely conclusion is that I have either a hemorrhoid or anal fissure. I am cognizant that the best course of action is a surgeon s examination. However, I am currently uninsured and therefore desire to try OTC medication first.I appreciate any advice.
