Hi, for around 20 years I have had a blocked nose, not all of the time but certain times of the day, usually after evening meal which seems to trigger it and through the night. Also happens a lot when go to other peoples houses. I have been using nasal spray every time it happens which clears it but as wondering what is actually causing it and if there was anything that can be done so I can stop using the spray?
It is likely that you are having a mild allergy , which causes the lining of the nose to swell up when you are exposed to the allergen and causes nose block. Please meet an allergy specialist , he will do special tests on you , to find out , what you are allergic to and guide you further. If you avoid the allergens , then the spray can be stopped.
Take care!
