I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that due to popping of the bump on the lip there has been infection and inflammation of the lip and due to inflammation there has been swelling of the lip along with swollen face and neck which can be due to inflamed lymph nodes..
I would suggest you to continue applying the ointment and along with it you should also do cool compresses over the lip, cheek and neck.. You should take a course of antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. You should atleast wait for a week and in case if the symptoms worsen you can consult your physician again.. You can be advised injection of steroid and anti inflammatory painkiller as it will help in reducing swelling faster..
Hope this information helps..
