Suggest Remedy For Blisters And Rash On The Tongue

I have a rash on my tongue, it feels like a layer of skin has been removed, at first I thought it was from drinking a hot cup of coffee as they were that sort of little blisters, but it got progressively got worse and the pallet of my mouth is very inflamed and itchy, my GP gave me steroids to suck on and they didn't work, I'm now on antibiotics 5 days now and still no sign of it moving, my GP thinks it's down to stress, but I'm not so sure..thank you

Thanks for the query..

Rash on tongue along with red spots or blisters can be due to Apthous Stomatitis leading to inflammation inside mouth and palate..

Red spots can be inflamed tongue papillae secondary to inflammation..

It can be a side effect of the medication if you take any, deficiency of iron and vitamin B12, stress, physical trauma to the tongue, allergies, acid reflux etc..

As of now you can start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine to relieve the symptoms.
Specialised mouthwash like Magic Mouthwash can also help in improving the symptoms..
You can also take a Vitamin B complex and lysine supplement daily..
You can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Suck ice and do cool water rinses..
Avoid spicy food..
