Suggest Remedy For Bleeding During Bowel Movement

I have a 4 year old daughter who just used the restroom. Shes often constipated but this time while pushing, i noticed blood in the toilet and as i wiped her, I noticed blood running down her leg. The bleeding has since stopped after being wiped. She is in no pain and seems to be okay? Should i be concerned?

Hello. Thank you for your question. This is a common issue in this age group. The cause of the bleeding is the hard stools. if the stools are softened, the bleeding typically stops. A good way to do this is by adding fiber to her diet. this can be done by adding fiber rich foods to her daily intake, or by adding fiber supplements. the supplements are all natural and come as powders. The powder can be added to her morning cereal, a glass of water, etc. If the stools are softened and the problem continues, I recommend consulting with your doctor.
