At 39 weeks if you are having low back ache, it is indicative that the mouth of your uterus has started opening and thinning out. What made you think that sex induces the labour? It does not. The swelling in the vagina you are feeling is probably due to the friction during intercourse. At this stage of pregnancy, I do not think you need to do anything for induction of labour. Within few days you will go in labour. If you do not by completion of 40 weeks, consult your obstetrician and he will decide whether you need induction of labour and how to do it. Usually the first step for induction of labour is separating the membranes from the lower part of the uterus by stripping. If that fails, them some drugs may be used which make the uterus contract forcefully. Please do not take your own measures to induce the labour. It may prove to be risky.
