Hi,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Hydroxyzine is usually given at dose of 25mg a day. So if i am your treating i will not advise you to exceed 25 mg dose. He can use 2nd generation anti-histamines or mast cell stabilizers that can help his allergy. You can discuss this with his treating physician.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
