thank you for posting query at HCM.

yes, acute liver injury is reversible.

increase in the level of liver enzymes(AST,ALT) reflect an INJURY to the Liver. medically, the condition is know as "Hepatitis". it maybe caused by:
1. Virus (A, B, C, D, E)
2. Alcohol 3. drug induced (medication)
4. Gall bladder or common bile duct pathology
5."Fat excess"

most likely , its due to drug induced.
advice:
- continue abstinence from Alcohol
- LOW fat diet should be followed
- NO red meat
- vegetables should be ingested daily
- Moreover, rest more
- use lemon juice (lemonade) once in a day

-"recheck liver enzymes after 4 to 6 weeks".

if liver enzymes still high, You may visit hepatologist as soon as possible.
