The symptoms you have described , fits well into the the most probable diagnosis of Proctitis / procto-colitis.
I would advise you the following:
First all get a consultation of a Surgical Gastroenterologist who would do a simple proctoscopy and Biopsy.
According to symptoms you have to get a 5 day course of an antibiotic and
metronidazole,
Once the symptoms are reduced formal
colonoscopy and biopsy can be planned, time has to be given for the colon to he better and healthy as the colonoscopy risks are then reduced.
Other investigations to be done are :
*Routine blood investigations like Complete blood picture, blood sugar, urea,
creatinine, liver function tests,
thyroid function tests.
*Urine -routine and microscopy
*Stool: routine, microscopy, occult blood, culture and sensitivity.

Ultrasonography of abdomen,
All the reports collectively can give the best possible diagnosis ans treatment.
