Hello,

As per your case history your husband is most likely having insect bite. Linear lesions with redness and with a positive history of bite favor to this diagnosis. My treatment advice is:

1. Take precautions to prevent further bite chances by applying an insect repellent cream while gardening.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like Ibuprofen for reducing redness.

Certain amount of pigmentation may remain which is likely to completely disappear in 4 to 6 months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
