Suggest Remedy For UTI

I recently had surgery and acquired a UTI from being catheterized. I went for a PAP smear 3 mths post op and was dx with proteus mirabilius. I did not have sx and was tx with Cleocin. I now however am bloated and my MD suggested that I do warm water douche' and keep my self clean. I have been feeling bloated and have had episodic bleeding. I have called my MD and she does not seem worried about these sx.I am 57 yrs old and never had a pap smear to worry about , my mammograms have been good. I am not comfortable with the idea of this change in my gyn status, I did no have a pap at the time of the appointment due to the discharge and am scheduled to return in May. Is this a normal sx if the bacterial infection has not been cleared?
