Suggest Remedy For 2nd And 3rd Degree Burns On The Breast

I have 2nd 3rd degree burns on my right breast from boiling water on the 4th of July went to a dermatolgist yesterday says to keep it moist /let it air out no bandages /silversulfindine & Vaseline 3 to 4 weeks to heal /also 1500 keflex orally / yellow slime comes from breast This is so hard to do since my breast are large & painful Should I see a wound doctor or was a dermatolgist okay?

Hi.
As per your case history of burns, my treatment advice is -
1. Clean the wound with water and betadine solution.
2. Continue applying silver sulfadiazine cream twice daily.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

If problem persists then consult a general surgeon.
