Suggest Remedies For Thrush In Throat

I've been diagnosed with
Squamous cell carcinoma cancer.I've been taking radiation and chemo. I've now gotten thrush and it's bad been taking fluconazole 100 MG for 3 days I'mhaving difficulty swallowing because the severity of the pain. When I do swallow I believe that I'm also swallowing puss however i do try to cought it up bit i eND up vomiting due to choking. Is it dangerous to be swallowing the puss.?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Thrush in throat is also known as Oesophageal thrush and is due to yeast infection and in your case it is due to low immunity status caused due to cancer and also chemo and radiotherapy..

The medication advised to you that is Fluconazole that is an antifungal agent is appropriate and should continue taking the same..
The pus like accumulation that you experience can be due to secondary bacterial infection leading to pus formation while can also be due to excess mucous formation secondary to infection..

If it is pus, continuous swallowing of large quantities of pus can infect the stomach, therefore you should consult your Oncologist and get evaluated and treatment of the exact cause of the problem will be done only after proper investigations..
