Suggest Remedies For Severe Fatigue In A Diabetic

Recently noticed that I'm very tired during the day. Type 2 Diabetic...recently off insulin...controlling diabetes with oral drugs, diet and exercise. I don't know if the tiredness has anything to do with that. Difficulty falling asleep, at night, and staying asleep (that has been occurring for several years. Any ideas ?

Hello, Thanks for the query.
If you have T2 DM, and if the blood glucose levels are not very well controlled then there is every chance of feeling excessively fatigued and tired almost through out the day. It is essential to maintain FBG Sleep disturbances tend to occur with increasing age. But if one exercises over 1 hour every day, follows a proper pattern of going to bed, then chances of getting a good sleep do increase. Plus one should also learn certain relaxation techniques which help reduce the stress and bodily tension and help in inducing better sleep.
Supplements like Calcium, Vitamin D3 also help in reducing muscular fatigue. Since no specific details are given it is rather difficult to give very specific answer. Thanks.
