Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Right now you need to do something for the infection (pus) which may have got into the wound during trauma/injury.

I would suggest you a course of an oral antibacterial e.g either penicillin or cephalosporin group of drugs, for a week would take of the infection while the wound heals.

Along with oral antibiotics daily cleansing of the wound with betadine solution would help it to heal with healthy granulation tissue. The wound can be left open OR may be bandaged with a betadine soaked gauze after cleansing.
