Suggest Remedies For Rashes On Cheeks Of An Infant
I ve been using hydrocortisone cream to treat a skin rash on my 2yr olds lower side of cheeck for a while now. The problem is the rash keeps coming back a week after treatment and spreads if I without cream for some days?what can I do to stop this rash without use of steroids?
A common cause of a rash on the face of infants is seborrhoeic dermatitis. You may use ketoconazole cream twice a day and also vaseline in midday. Normally seborrhoeic dermatitis responds to this treatment. On the other hand, it is worth acknowledging that seborrhoeic dermatitis is not a serious condition but the use of steroids on the face can cause skin atrophy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
