I KEEP BREAKING OUT IN A RASH ON MY ARMS AND SOMETIMES ON BACK AND STOMACH, HOWEVER THIS DOESN`T SEEM TO COME UNTIL LATE MORNING OR EARLY AFTERNOON. I HAVE BEEN TO MY DOCTOR WHO PRESCRIBED FEXOFENADINE 180MG I HAVE BEEN TAKING THESE NOW FOR A WEEK AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL ONGOING.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In my opinion, you are suffering from Urticaria (Hives). It is an allergic reaction to a drug or a food or environmental changes. Try to find out the cause and avoid the causative agent along with an antihistamine. As your symptoms do not improve with Fexofenadine, you can add another antihistamine after consulting with your Dermatologist. You can apply Calamine lotion on itchy areas.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Siva Subramanian

Hi,

You are taking the right treatment but you are still being exposed to the substance that is triggering it.

You should identify the substance, or drug, or something else that causes it and eliminate it. This is why it doesn't go.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
