Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have problems putting on weight because of my appetite. This has been the case for a very long time; I d feel hungry, eat, and two bites in I can t eat anything else but my stomach would still be growling. If I force and eat anyway, my stomach feels sick. I ve tried peritol, it only works for a while. What should I do?
You may need to try high energy foods or drinks such as Ensure so that even if you only use a small amount, the number of calories would be high and this would help with weight gain. You may also want to consider B vitamin supplement along with the Peritol to see if this helps with your appetite. In some people, there is a psychological aspect to the response to food, which should be considered.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
