Suggest Remedies For Persistent Sore Throat And Ear Infection
Long lasting sore throat. I feel like I have a blister or severe sore on the middle-right of my Adam's apple and also have an ear infection. I lost my voice do a short while but it returned after taking antibiotics. However, the sore (feels like a blister) I'm my throat won't go away and hurts horribly when I sneeze. That sore had been there for weeks, maybe a couple months at this point. My ear is also still infected.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent sore throat and ear infection which seems to occur due to bacterial infection of upper respiratory tract which is reaching eustachian tube and leading to its dysfunction.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once and go for otoscopic examination and blood and throat swab tests along with it. Doctor may prescribe you stronger course of antibiotics along with decongestant sprays. Avoid excessive use of mobile from that side. You should not touch or prick ear with any sharp object. Avoid taking cold carbonated beverages and avoid taking oily, fried and spicy food. Apply dry hot compresses to external ear.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
