Suggest Remedies For Loose Motions And Recurrent Fever With Positive CPR
I am a Doctor working as a junior resident in Delhi .. I got my ACL reconstruction 4 weeks back. Since,my post-op period I started suffering from loose stools. And had my Suture removal done 10 days back, since then I am having fever (which is not more than 101 Faraheinheit) on daily basis but that too after 5 pm . I got my routine blood investigations done and they turned out to be normal. Peripheral smear for Malarial parasite is negative. CRP is positive with ESR turned out to be 62. Please help me out, what to do next...?
History of surgery, post of complaint of loose stool could be due to drug induced and antibiotic could be the cause, fever is indicative of infection.
If this due to surgery, then wound site need to be examined, else it could be viral infection or bacterial infection, elevated ESR may not be significant.
I would advise you to get done the imaging study like x-ray chest, MRI of knee joint, along with blood culture, such case of fever of unknown origin demands the complete work up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
