Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi when i was 16-18 or 19 i used to get really dizzy, my head would hurt, everything would go black and occasionally i fell because of it. it hasn t happened like that in years but i still would like to know what could have caused it or if i need to get my head checked out.
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to low blood pressure or an inner ear disorder.
Another possible cause to consider would be seizures.
For this reason, I would recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values and consulting with an ENT specialist in order to exclude a possible inner ear disorder.
Other possible tests to consider would be: fasting glucose for hypoglycemia, an EEG for seizures and thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
