Suggest Remedies For Common Cold

Common cold over the last few days my symptoms seem to be changing. Monday morning it started as a congested head and sore throat. Tuesday I had a sore throat and a headache. Wednesday I had a slight cough. Thursday I had a hoarse cough with mild mucus coming up. Friday (today) I have a consistent runny nose and a sore throat from coughing and spitting out a lot of mucus. could this be the common cold or something different? if this is the common cold based on my symptoms and the wag they are changing when should I expect to start feeling better?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
thanks for your question, your complains of cold, cough and sore throat suggests it is mostly like bacterial infection, you require antibotics, mucolytic cough syrup. My suggestion would be to see a general physician for treatment and steam inhalation and betadine or salt water gargling will help you.
