Suggest Remedies For Chronic Pain In The Neck Radiating To The Spine

I have chronic neck pain. I can t turn my head very far to the left. It feels like it gets caught. The pain goes up into my head and down my spine. I m not sure what kind of doctor I should consult with. I ve had this problem for over a year and it is getting worse. I question if it is in my muscles or bone. The pain is there all the time. I ve had physical therapy and they were not able to help me. Thank you for any help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to cervical spondylosis. A physical examination by orthopedician followed by X ray and MRI of cervical spine will be helpful to rule out the condition. Muscle relaxants, neurotropic drugs and physiotherapy like TENS, short wave diathermy and ultrasound will be helpful for this. Avoid high pillows and use orthopedic pillow.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
