Suggest Remedies For Bug Bites On Ankles And Swollen Leg

I got a few bug bites about 2 months ago on my ankles and then got a 6 inch scratch from my dog on shin. The bites were itchy and of course I scratched them open. I have a few open sores that have not healed and they leak a watery substance. I have been putting medicine on the sores but it seems to be taking long to heal. I have pulmonary hypertension and have swelling in my legs and on a water pill. Scleroderma as well.

Thanks for posting on HCM
Bug bites may go on their own with no particular treatment.However, in your case, the spots as you describe seem to have been infected.I will suggest:
-you take a penicillin group of antibiotics like cloxacillin for 7 days
-Press out the the fluid in the spots and do regular dressing with an antiseptic like betadine
As for your ankle swelling, it may be due to your underlying pulmonary problem.I will suggest you continue with your water pills like furosemide and elevate legs while lying.You will have to see your Cardiologist for reevaluation and if need be, your drug dose may be adjusted.
