Suggest Remedies For Blood Clots In Urine After Cystoscopy

Hello. I had a cytoscopy done today about 2-3pm. Since then,I have had blood clots in my urine, which passed out. During my last urination a few minutes ago,it seems that the clot was stuck and I literally urinated everywhere including the wall. Will I need a cathether or can something less invasive be used?

Hi and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, i can understand your anxiety.
You're well informed about the after effects of a cystoscopy.
Clots may form after cystoscopy and usually get expelled on passing urine.
Drink atleast ten to twelve glasses fluids daily.
If you've recurrent clots in urine or pain in lower abdomen,an U/S-KUB is done. It's also done if you've difficulty in passing urine.
That will show if there're clots in bladder or there's need for catheterisation.
You've not mentioned, the indication for the cystoscopy.
