Suggest Remedies For Blisters On The Finger

My son woke up this morning his pinky finger was very swale and had blister on it. So he poked it with a needle squeezed the pus out and put hydrogen peroxide on it and bandaged it. Its swallow and throbs now very painful should he do this again or go to a doctor? And if its not cared for right what could happen to the finger?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your son seem to be related to an infection.

I suggest to clean the area with hydrogen peroxide daily and apply with an antibiotic cream.

You can cover it with a clean bandage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
