Suggest Remedies For Anxiety, Self Destructive Thoughts And High BP

I am a 54 yr old female. I am sad, have anxiety, binge eat and drink, and only leave home to go to work. I have isolated myself and have self destructive thoughts. My blood pressure is high (I am on meds) and am pre- diabetic. I want to fix myself, but don t know how.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The medication and behavioural counselling will be the treatment option for you.

You can be prescribed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor for a long time and short term benzodiazepine group drug for your condition.

Try to indulge in some social activities and meet friends.

You can consult psychiatrist for counselling and get prescription accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
