Suggest Remedies For An Insect Bite

I got bit last week when I was sleeping. It since went away. Last night I got another bite. there is a lot of dust and dirt under and behind my bed. I noticed some cob webs near my bed too. I m afraid i might have bed bugs though. I only have one bite right now. Do you think I might have bed bugs? Do bed bugs bite once?

Hi Dear,

As per your query you have symptoms of insect bite. It does not seems to be bed bugs as then symptoms will be more generalized. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to

- Take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen as swelling is there and take additionally oral antibiotics if there is an evidence of infection.

- Avoid exposure to sunlight.

- Maintain complete hygiene.

- Apply topical antibiotic cream like mupirocin 2% is usually given in such cases.

If symptoms keeps on persisting visit general practitioner once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
