Suggest Remedies For A Lump In Throat After A Tonsillectomy

I had a tonsillectomy back in March 2016, everything went well however, about a month after surgery I was pretty much healed I felt a lump in my throat that hasn t gone away. Could this be a result of scar tissue? It feels like a bubble is stuck in my throat.

Hi,

That must be due to inflammation of tonsillar stump. You can take NSAID like Advil to hasten up. Avoid cold water. It will go away soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
