Suggest Remedies For A Child Urinating In His Pants

My 6 year old boy still wet his pants. He did toilet training since he was 2/3 years old but he still wet his pants. Is he lazy or there's some bladder problems. I'm worried because he will be 7 next year. We did try everything to encourage him to go toilet but when he do it but if we not with him, he wets his pants. What can I do to stop this?

Psychologist 's  Response
Firstly , you should consult a pediatrician to make sure that there is no physiological problem. If nothing is detected in the tests or medicine course , I'd suggest you to visit a child psychologist.

Many times, a child goes through a stressful and anxious phase. You probably wont find a reason for this apprehensive behavior. This behavior that can damage a child's self esteem and place him at risk of rejection.

Pediatrician Dr. Meera Kotecha's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
Is there any dribbling or poor stream in your child. please visit a urologist for a detailed examination of bladder dysfunctions. Also get his urine tests done. Meanwhile, In my opinion you should try using reward for using the toilet and the reward should be what is relevant to him. For accidents do not scold but do not give the reward. You can also make a star chart for using the wash room. And the rewards for the star can be given.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
