Suggest Prognosis Of Breast Cancer With Metastasis And Edema

My mom has stage iv breast cancer and they have stopped all treatment. It has metastasized everywhere and she is hospitalized now and they are moving her to a hospice home. She is im alot of pain but still alert and she has edema everywhere. her oncologist told my one sister 2 days to 2 weeks, but my other sister said 2 weeks to months. I am trying to decide to go or not and am wondering how long most people last.

Hello.Breast cancers that have spread to other parts of the body are more difficult to treat and tend to have a poorer outlook. Metastatic, or stage IV breast cancers, have a 5-year relative survival rate of about 22%. Still, there are often many treatment options available for women with this stage of breast cancer. But in your mother case we cant do a lot, just palliative care .
