Suggest Precautions To Be Taken For Hairline Fracture On Metatarsal Bone

Hi i recently had a hairline fracture on my proximal phalange and metatarsal bone, i wish to go back to judo starting in march. the fracture happened 4 weeks ago. what should i do to take care of y foot for a while, should i wrap it in something when practicing judo?

hi,

as you mentioned you had an hairline fracture then i advice you to first take a proper care since the location of the fracture is the weight bearing bone and joint. Providing the adequate care will help the bone heal better.

also you should consume good milk and take sun bath which will help the bone to be stronger.

also, taking a CT or X-ray prior going to judo will help. Take an advice from a physical therapist to strengthen the muscle of the feet to avoid future issues.
