Suggest Precautionary Measures To Avoid Contracting Rhinovirus Infection

I m a NICU nurse, Ive been taking care of a baby with Rhino virus infection for two days. He is under droplet precaution, we have to wear gown, gloves, and mask for each contact. I m 15 weeks pregnant, do I need to worry about the risk of infection for my baby? Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Rhinovirus infection usually poses no risk to the mother or unborn baby. Follow the precautions to prevent contracting the infection, as you are more susceptible because of weakened immunity during pregnancy.

Hope this answers your question
