Suggest Possible Treatment For Memory Loss

hi, i have a problem that has been going on for the last 7 years. I hope you will be able to tell me what is wrong. It started with mild symptoms like diarrhea/indigestion that went on for around 2 months. I went to a doctor who gave me some medicines sayins it was ulcer.(rablet tabs) that i took for 9 months. But it continued ever after i took the full course of the medicine. He prescribed more medicines that only made my condition worse. I then consulted some more doctors who told me more or less the same thing. But i went from bad to worse and lost a lot of weight and i felt extremely weak. I was again referred to a psychiatrist who talked to me about my sleep habits and my diet. She was quiet satisfied with my diet but said i slept too little and think too much and that was affecting my digestion. She then prescribed medicines after another that has been going on till now. I am in my 5th year under her treatment (l-pam, trend xr, sobrium) i ve forgotten most of them. It went well for a while. The problem with the digestion went and i slowly started gaining weight (that was 4 years back). I thought i was going to be fine. Then something happened. I started having weird feelings in my head. My head felt numb, depressed and my alertness decreased greatly. Then i had memory loss. I found it hard recognising faces, even familiar faces and found it hard remembering things. I always did well academically but after this, everything went blank. I couldnt even remember what i studied in the morning. My brain felt more and more depressed and reaches a point when i thought i was going crazy when i couldnt reason simple facts. The same situation persists to this day. I feel like my brain is permanently damaged. M not into drugs except for nicotine that i ve been taking for last 13 years. Can you tell me what s happening? John, Male. 24 years, 58 kg
