hi, am nandakishore, am a software engineer. am suffering from fits from last 4 years. am using tegrital 300 CR tablets. My doctor told me to use this for life time. i want a permanent solution for this sir. please can any one help me out from this problem...

Hi,
Please do not stop the medication without first consulting your neurologist. I suggest you discuss with the neurologist/ neurosurgeon and try to find out the root cause of seizures. Doing a MRI scan of the brain will certainly help to see if there are any organic causes for the seizures. If it does not show and even blood checks do not provide an evidence, it is then, that you might have to take them for longer periods of time.
