Suggest Opinion Of Taking Mucinex During Pregnancy?
Hello! I took a 2 pregnancy tests on tuesday and it says that i am pregnant..( i have scheduled a dr appt for blood testing this friday) however for the past 2 weeks i have been sick with sinus infection and was prescribed an antibiotic which i took only about 5 days of beause at that time i was feeling better... now the symptoms are back: nasal congestion, sore throat, coughing and now i have lost my voice a little. I have been taking robintussin and dayquil cold and sinus and it doesn t really seem to be working... is it safe to tak Mucinex and should i finish out the antibiotic?
Kindly avoid mucinex during pregnancy.This drug can be used in the second and third trimester of pregnancy and also during breast feeding. Mucinex should be avoided in first trimester since it can increase the risk of certain fetal defects.
