Suggest Methods To Reduce Weight

hi doctor. Myself Deboleena, from Siliguri. I am 25 years old height 5'4" weight is about 67 kilos. i want to loose my weight atleast by 10-12 kgs. I look older than my age and feeling depressed all the time. Also suffering from headache a lot. I have not checked my thyroid. I wark in a govt Bank and have to work for 8 hours in office. my diet plan is so bad that i afraid to share it with u. please help, so that, i can reduce some weight.

Hi Deboleena,

Welcome to HCM.

According to your height your ideal body weight should be 55kgs.So you are about 12kgs overweight.To plan an ideal diet for you I would require your food intake throughout the day.But you can follow a few guidelines which will help you to lose weight.
1.Eat a proper breakfast consisting of cereals such as cornflakes,oats,muesli or make nutritious poha/upma/idlis with less oil
2.Eat atleast 3-4 servings of low calorie fruits such as oranges,watermelon,plums,peaches,pears,apples inbetween your meals.
3.lunch and dinner should consist of some proteins such as pulses,paneer,fish,sprouts alond with 2 servings of vegetables and a serving of cereal
4.Replace tea and coffee with green tea,camomile tea or fresh lime water without sugar
5.Cut down on fried and oily stuff.Also avoid desserts and replace them with dates,figs rolls and fresh fruits.
6.Exercise atleast 45 minutes per day.
