Suggest Methods To Reduce The GGT Levels In The Body

I just had my general check up done last week. i actually didnt have any problem but thought it have a general check up to see if everything is normal. and in my liver test it showed my ggt as 400. the other enzymes in the liver test was within range. is this possible. and if the test is correct, how can i reduce the GGT level in my body.appreciate your help in this. thank you so much

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

GGT can be elevated for different reasons.

One of the most common reasons is excess alcohol use.
If there is a history of excess alcohol use, discontinuation would help.After discontinuation then can recheck in a few months to see if there is any change.

Other cases are: (1) hepatitis- infection of the liver
(2)cancer in the liver
(3)pancreatitis
(4)some cancers- prostate, lung, breast especially if any spread to the liver
